The Foyer, Music Parlor, Dining Room, Howison Terrace, Almy Terrace & Walnut Tree are open to outside visitors. On the grounds, which consist of 27 acres tucked inside the Fredericksburg National Battlefield Park are hiking trails, the original ice house, and lots of places for taking picnics, bird watching or just strolling.
